The aim of the foundation is to run and maintain the building "Jens Bangs Stenhus" at Østerågade 9 in Aalborg and to acquire, preserve and maintain collections and single components of artistic and culture-historical interest.

The foundation and The Historical Museum of Northern Jutland ("Nordjyllands Historiske Museum") have in close cooperation carried out a thorough restoration of the pharmacy loft so that today, the collection appears under the best conditions. New arrangements of the interior and the numerous components have been made to comply with the spirit of Sigurd Carl Strøyberg.
